Optimism & an Apartment Fire

Children are thankfully often unaware of what is really happening in their lives. An apartment fire downtown took this family's home. Lilly-Anne Aspetia is being carried by her mother across an ice patch on her street. Eyes and a demeanor that provide contrast to the situation are proof of childhood optimism. Her mother and grandmother have a better understanding of what the fire is going to mean for this family, which is apparent in their faces. I don't know what happened to them, I just hope that Lilly-Anne has not found any reason to doubt her optimism yet.
