Dancing in America
The film festival ended with a huge party, Ayesha; an actress from the award winning Sundance entry, "The Pool" ended her first week in America with some dancing in a giant tent in Park City. It was interesting to see how everyone comes together from corners of the globe to celebrate film and it's effect on our lives. Perhaps movies are distractions from our lives, escapes from reality disguised in plastic dvd cases. Who says we can't learn from distractions. If a film is enough to bring someone out from India to a tiny town in Summit County, Utah. It must carry enough weight to move our minds, our thinking, and hearts to someplace new and hopefully better for a change.
