Texas....Day 3

On Wednesday morning a group of FLDS boys walked the perimeter of the field around Fort Concho. Members of the press started to flutter and mobilize outside the fence, the boys did a good job of ignoring it but this particular boy looked back curiously nervous to steal a glance, his face and this photo is the most telling for me personally when I think of the first week there. Later that night I flew over the compound in a tiny helicopter with no doors that looked like it could have been loaded in the back of a pickup. Flying over the compound was an experience I won't forget any time soon.
