Cedar Lake Ballet

Thought I'd bring the mood back to central with something a little less sad. The Cedar Lake Ballet Company from New York came and did an installation performance at the Salt Lake City Library downtown. It was beautiful and extremely approachable. It was for free and was a promotion for their real performance coming up in a few days. I thought it was a really smart way to advertise. I don't know much about dance but there was a very tangible energy throughout the entire library during the performance. When art can do that I feel it's served it's purpose.

ooo i like these photos, the dancers look so 'street' without the pointe shoes, appropriate for the location.

How I wish I could have seen their installation piece. I was able to see the show later that night and it was incredible. Breathtaking. The pic with their skirts and shoes is great. If I can get to be half as good a dancer as the women in Cedar Lake, I will be satisfied. Very motivating, inspiring pics, Mike.
