Deseret News photographer Jeff Allred was awarded the Photo of the Year Award from the Associated Press Managing Editors Association. Cool thing is, this is the second year in a row that the Deseret News has pulled down this honor...schweet!

That is awesome for Allred. I'm mad at myself for not getting this image. I was right there and actually shot the little one about 3 min. later. I blame it on the fact I was double duty with video as the priority. Regardless, I'm extremely happy for Jeffery.
